wire was coroded when i got it, all 100 feet of it. it's very bad, i put it into the 31% acid for an hour and it didnt really do anything.

 

Isn't it kind of a pain to clean wire anyway? I'd say if it was a solid piece of metal you might have good results, but wire... Why not just buy new wire? Expensive to get good stuff, but new, good quality wire should last you forever and you don't have to mess with trying to clean old wire with build-up on it. If you're not having luck with it so far I can't see anything else doing much better aside from trying some super strong pure acids which has been mentioned.

 

CLR worked well for me.
