Why would you shrink it if it's not going to be burned to a DVD ?

Download Slysoft AnyDVD and install
Reboot
Open AnyDVD, select Settings, Uncheck Prohibited User Operations, Click OK
Insert DVD
Go to My Computer, Right-Click on DVD, Select Explore
Right-click on VIDEO_TS folder, select Copy, paste somewhere on your hard drive
Right-click on folder, select Rename, type in name of movie (to prevent confusion)
Open PowerDVD, hit Ctrl+O, select Open DVD File on Hard Disk Drive, find the VIDEO_TS folder you copied to HDD, select VIDEO_TS.ifo
Watch movie

Is there any way to make these files smaller? For instance .avi, or .mpeg? Its like over 7gb for 4 episodes....and there is over 20+ episodes a season

I was under the impression that you were only using them for a road trip, thus making hard drive space of little importance so long as you could fit the discs on there ...

Yes, you can convert the video at least to a different format ... You won't have any of the menus, subtitles, etc., though ... or just use DVD Shrink or a similar program to compress the size of the DVD while retaining the DVD format ... You will lose quality, though ...

Well the HD is only 100gb, and it would take up atleast 80% of the space...which then i wouldnt have any room for anything else. With DVD shrink, do i have the menus and subtitles etc?
