Anyways, I'm pretty sure the person at the end lived ... It was on Speedvision (Which changed to Speed Channel in 2001 ???) and I don't remember hearing of anyone dying between the years of 1999-2001 ...

That was indeed a Chevette, a Vauxhall Chevette HRS. Beautiful Vettes, I only wish we got those in North America.
