Well as much as I think a casket box would be neat, it would take up the whole back of the car. I plan on removing the table and cropping the raised floor between the rear doors. This is to make space for a second bench seat.
Behind that I would love to put in a wall - something on the order of 6+ 15s. The car won't make big #s but IMO it doesn't have to - she's a cruiser
It will get a full on front speaker install too, the kickpanel area is pretty big.
I hope to get it around the local shows this summer.
It should be noted that SUX2BU and I co-own the car but it lives at my place, much to the pleasure of my neighborhood

Totally sweet!
I can't explain it, but I have a thing for the old Cadillac land yachts... the hearses are even sweeter!
Congrats, and please be sure to post pic's of the progress.

Sweet that car should prove to be a lot of fun.
A customer of mine has a hearse for sale right now, nothing so classic, but still a hearse and relatively cheap.

Yeah, anything after about 1973 gets half the value of anything from the 60s. IMO we got the second best year (1967 being the pinnacle) so I'm happy.
Tom - the things that need fixing will be fixed. It will never be a "show car" but it will be to many shows. I prefer something I can drive and if it picks up a few rock chips along the way then that's ok. The way I see it, original unrestored trim and 'seasoned' paint and interior gives a car like that it's character. I don't like trash so things like the curtains will likely be replaced as they are on their last legs, but if something looks decent I will try to keep whatever original as long as possible (aside from having to put in a second seat and a system).
FOOSE audio would rock... I should talk to the distributor or something

I would consider cleaning up the outside with a 'rat' finish (understated flat paint etc.) I kind of like the curtains but you must personalize the ride to make it yours not the funeral homes. Definitely an SQ car, lots of room for speakers and amps.
Voodoo? Nah, it's just a car. It's not like somebody actually DIED in it. lol The colors of it are nice and can work well in a flat finish, which is great for a DIY job. I like the droopy curtains at the top of the windows. Gives that whole Victorian/funeral home look to it. The vertical ones can go though.
Crushed velvet, lots of crushed velet
The whole interior is done in it from the factory!
