As stated before the Canons are AWSOME.

I have an A60. Best camera for under 300$.

A friend has an A60.. He took some pics at my wedding with it. Very nice. Another friend took his Elph on his honeymoon, and his pics are great as well.

I chose the Canon based on the fact that it was an SLR. I needed the option of being able to purchase different lenses for different tasks. Plus, how can you go wrong with 6MP and 2.5 frames per second!

Seems like everyhwere I look people are saying only good things about the A60. I'm looking at that model for my sister who will use it in her interior design job. How's the software that comes with that camera?

Personally, I wouldn't use the software that comes with any camera. Get a copy of Adobe PhotoShop, or at the very least, Jasc PaintShopPro.

Only use the software when you want to do editing and whatnot. I just plug it in and it propts me to DL the pics/movies to where ever on my desktop.

Nothing to install, No questions. Just does it.

Easy as hell.
