DJ stuff, where to get it?

ok wow its been like i dunno how long since ive posted on here (been way to busy with work and everything) and anyway i thought this would be the best place to get some support and help.

Ive finally decided to take the plunge and get some decks and starting djing, my bday is comin up so ill be able to fund it now. anyway I have no idea where to
buy technics.. and the only online stores ive been to ship to the states only.
I would kinda like to pick them up myself but if i have to order them so be it.

and also if anyone knows what kind of mixer I should go with feel free to chirp in.

thanks guys.

shane.

if you're in the lower mainland...

Commercial Electronics on Burrard in Vancouver sells Technics SL-1200 turntables, SL-1300 CD player, Pioneer CD dj player and they also have the Urei mixers. plus PA systems you could rent.

Urei Mixer info: Clicky

Long & Mcquade also have dj equipment you could rent.. but their PA systems are mainly the Yorkville brand (their house brand).

I personally like the GLi 5990 or 5991 mixers, but its no longer available.
