as for the wally world tv's what if i get it home and it really is crap? tahts a pain in the *** to keep returning and ****e lol And I know they have a generous return policy crap half the locations or the right person u can take back something u didnt even get there and get cash lol As for the pushy sales ppl and extended warranties I'll stick to the regular warranty its gonna be a cheap tv regardless. I will however look into the Toshiba tv's thanx Hakujin thats the kind of responses i was lookin for too.

The thing about the 24" and larger Prima TVs is that they apparently use the same size of tube as in the 20" tv..I don't know if its common or not, but a future shop guy told me that. My prima 20" tv is great for me, it was cheap, good picture, s video.

The lack of a universal remote is my only gripe.

The actual glass tube. There are only a handful of manufacturers of tubes. There may be three or four different brands of TV that all use the same tube inside. Just like monitors. My NEC uses a Sony tube.

If you measure the tube. Corner to corner on a diagnol you should be able to verify that claim. Often the size claims will be fudged slightly so it states that the TV is larger than it actually is. Eazy to check and compare if you bring a small tape measure with you.

The nice thing with buying a TV at walmart is if you don't like it,, take it back and get a different one.. A friend of mine went through 3 TV's before he got the one he has now..

They're more strict and have common sense at the return desk lol I'm gonna try Future Shop in Ajax next weekend before I make any decisions on a tv

I have a 5 year old RCA 27" that I bought at Walmart for $380 ( demo model ). It is still running strong and has served me well. My only gripe is it's sound - the speakers don't go very loud before distorting - I have external sound now. Remember to check the sound as well as the picture ...
