thats more than possible regarding the levy... but what I wanted to show, is that we are still paying extra tax on blank media, so the downloading is still perfectly legal.. unless you start selling it or making a profit from the recordings.

I've gotten letters to my ISP from the MPAA before. I got a call from my ISP and they threatened to cut off my internet. After that I was just more careful when downloading. Its been almost 2 years without anymore complaints.

u got letters from your ISP for download? who's your isp??

i got rogers extreme and i download full albums on daily basis courtesy of mIRC. The ammount of stuff you can get on there in a week is alot more than anyone can listen to in a month. I havent gotten any letters from Rogers yet.

I just don't download anymore and if I was to start again I think that ITunes is a pretty reasonable deal for a pay service.
A 20GB IPOD can carry 5000 songs. A song on Itunes is a dollar per piece. That means your Ipod is worth 5000 dollars.

Who seriously would spend that much on music?
</font>
I've spent over $1000 on DVD's I think we're safe to say that some ppl would spend $5000 on music or already have and haven't realized it. Though not all at once mind you.

Prolifik - Maybe he has a subscription that only allows a certain amount of mb/gb download per month I know Bell used to do that I'm pretty sure they still do for some. (express vu)
