Sometimes you can get lucky and don't have to pay duties. Two days ago I got a package for $40 value and I had to pay $10 and change. Today I get a package for $300 left on my door step. No customs form saying I owe.

well buy all the stuff you want from the states but when the used equipment fails then ya can scratch your head and say why didnt I just buy it local. Most shippers will break your boxs if your parcel is heavy and charge you a great handling fee normaly $45-125 depending on what it is. If they are light and packed well they normaly let it go for cheap but they still may open it up for inspections. To answer your question i will say $189 total final answer !!

Not if it was shipped by USPS/Canada post...

If they wanted the money from him they'd make him go to the post office and pay when he picked it up. They don't send an invoice out after the fact.

Some items when you can get 4 of them in the US vs. 1 of them here, ya I'lll buy in the US.
If after everything if its like $50 difference I'll buy here.

If you got it shipped U.S.P.S. your'e good.

If it's anything else,, yeup, you'll get a thing in the mail....

although,, I got some stuff from UPS with brokerage oweing and they dropped it off,,,, that was 3 years ago, I've shipped again and nothing was said and it went un paid!

If you live anywhere near the border, get it shipped to somewhere in the US just across the border.

then drive down, pick it up and claim it yourself.

Most complanies charge huge to ship into Canada, so you save a little there, and you save brokerage, and if you can get the company to fudge a bit on the price, you can save on the duty.

When I ordered my airbag kit that's what I did,, I figured I saved around $500.00 at that time.
