hmmm I can understand being deaf but driving daily with headphonez on cant be good for safety. I mean if u can prevent being deaf then why do it? If ur already deaf itz understandable no offence to any of you of course. Iknow they can get a fine for noise pollution or w/e this guy got on elol

It's better then nothing if you have to have it that loud, but I think it's easier to turn it down. The guy who built most of my car used to have an SPL truck (8 12's in the box and 4 or 8 ZR1000's). He used to drive around town with ear muffs on. He said it just felt awesome. Which I understand, but lots of people would see him and think he's stupid. Plus driving around with the system that loud is just begging for a theif.

I have some ear plugs just in case the bass gets too loud and one of my friends needs some relief. We normally just pass them around the car so everyone can use them. I've had the same pair for about 2 years now. Every now and then they get a lot of wax build up on them, if that happens one of us will usually just give them a quick lick and they are as clean as the day I got them

Just a thought....but maybe the guy was breaking in his new system...I know I have done it in the past...and I am sure that I am not the only one.

is it really a good idea to break in a system by maxing it out?

I use an custom molded pair at work. I liked them so much I had an set made for the car. We are given 1 pair of ears I kinda want to keep mine. Driving with them never tried too drive with them. Like I could here any thing out side the car, even with out audio on the car is loud

Who says I was maxing it out? I had a comp to go to the next day, a new system in the car, and neighbours who frown upon loud anything. What would you do?

Its actually an odd thing...some subs get louder as they break in, thus the reason for the above. Other subs are louder BEFORE they break in.
