Thinking of picking some up once I get my tax return. I put some lower profile tires on my acura, and now the wheel well gap looks huge

Anyone have any comments regarding these springs? Also, does anyone have any before/after shots they could share?

Did you make sure you matched the tire height as close as possible to your stock tires first? What tire/wheel size did you have before and what do you have now?

The tire wall is not much thinner, its more of a mental thing I guess.

I went from 195/55/15 to 205/50/15. I had trouble finding 55 profile tires that I liked, so I went with 50.

I just put Eibacks on...GREAT! Leveled the ride, my 300 pounds of stereo and stuff in the trunk was making my butt sag. Smooth and comfortable but my suspension travel is less and my struts bottom on big bumps (heaves and pot holes). The low profile tires will accentuate this, but I prefer a performance setup like that to a point.

Your tire height is about 7/16ths more than previous, so yes it would make a difference in fender gap.

I wouldn't think you'd need more than a 1" or 1.5" drop. So yeah, get them. But I'd put some hardcore adjustable shocks/struts to match them up along with bringing the car to the shop for a camber adjustment. That would be uber cool, and it won't look ugly or ride crappy!

Oh, for the record you'll also have -2% speedometer error. It won't get the cops after you, but 215/50/15's would have matched your previous tire bang on.

Yeah, I noticed the car reved just slightly higher when crusing at my usual highway speeds too. Not too concerned about it, as I've used them for over a year now, and havent had any problems. I've heard some stories about ABS issues when the tire/rim size is far off from stock too. Not sure, but I think 215 would be a little too wide for my rim? The 205s buldge slightly beyond the rim, but it looks pretty good.

I believe the pro kit lowers about 1.5 inches in the front, and 1.3 in the rear. I dont want a large drop. I was considering bilstein shocks to go with the springs... but it all depends on how much good ol' revenue Canada wants to give me back this year

Good stuff, did you get the pro-kit or sportline springs? Also, what type of car do you drive?

I find my EL's stock suspension to be a little floaty around the corners, but I think the pro-kit should stiffen that up a bit. Do you have aftermarket struts as well? or the oem ones?

I've heard they are decent springs. Defenitely be prepared to sacrifice some ride quality though, you will be finding yourself avoiding potholes/manhole covers/ and especially train tracks, and/or comming to an almost hault to cross over them. Thats the sacrifice that comes with tho. Well thats my experience anyways since my car has been lowered.
