Meh, TB outplayed them the second period, that's about it.
3rd was all Flames.
First period, was just, well, kinda laid back.
Why does is seem whenever bad reffing, or controversy is present, Kerry Fraser is reffing? hmmm
Well the NHL must be happy, they got what they wanted, hmm maybe that's why Fraser refs so many playoff games??

Come on now .. the Flames had 7 shots (7 SHOTS!) going into the 3rd period. TBay WAS a great team, let us honor that. I am heart broken just like so many others, but at least we can lose with honor. And at least TBay had a LOT of Canadian players on it!

I agree the whole damn thing was rigged!!
Tonights game was the biggest pile of BS I've ever seen...2 flames penalties in the first like 10 mins of play...what did Tampa get?2 all together...BULL****E!!
I'm with Sutter....NHL wanted an american team to win because of all the money the have wrapped up in them....

Yeah the Flames had 7 shots, but TB only had 13, and by the end of the third I'm sure the Flames had a lot more.
I'm not trying to argue, just stating my opinion, and just really ticked off at the way things went.
High stick in the face of the Calgary player, no call, 15 seconds later, TB goal...right...
Simon got mugged right in FRONT of the ref, nothing.
Crap like that just bugged me, when there were a couple of just stupid calls made on the Flames.
I'm REALLY bitter right now, not because we (canada) deserved the cup back, but because of all places, TB won it? Give me a break, it doesn't even snow there.

wah wah wah. If calgary put half the effort into the 1st and 2nd periods they would have eaten TB. They were outplayed until the last 12 minutes of the game. last I checked most games are 60 minutes long. so they gave it all for 20% of the game, thank goodness Kipper is as good a netminder that he is or it would have been a blowout.
TB showed heart in this game, Calgary pulled the too little too late.
Better luck next year, now bring on the CFL!!

Ahhh well, as much as I would love to rub TB's win in all your dirty Canadian faces, I am just happy to see a new team get the cup. I would have been satisfied seeing either team win it. It's just nice to see two new teams in the finals instead of the typical, Detroit, Dallas, Colorado crap!
My hats off to both teams for a great season. And it was nice that we got something different this year instead of the same old crap!
