Happy Holidays everyone...

I need some help from you gamers on this board. Out of the big 3 (xbox 360 not included) so ps2, xbox and gamecube which one should I get.
I am totally out of the loop the last system I bought was first gen nintendo, which according to my sons is totally lame [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img] I've ask 3 people and got 3 different answers, "get xbox its easily modded" "get playstation more games better controllers" "get gamecube its the cheapest more games for kids" [img]graemlins/banghead.gif[/img]

Holy crap help me!!!

PS: my sons are 3 and 5 but I would like to play too [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

Always a big battle between X-box and PS2.

I say PS2 all the way...way more good games in my opinion.

Gamecube is a good game consol for kids....and super smash bros melee is probobly my most favourite game ever....as I am god at that game. Its got a bunch of mario video games and stuff (mario party, mario sunshine..golf..ect..) Many video games that dont include blood and harsh violence...an important thing to most parents...

I guess it also depends if your gonna go all high-tech...and go online with your consol and stuff...playstation and X-box are awsome playing online....but the most common games to do this are Halo...SOCOM...call of duty...lots of blood.

With little kids I say go game-cube...
be sure to get super smash bros melee....

 

go game cube for the kids and get yourself and xbox really good lots of games. if you want to wait buy and xbox360 to me it is worth the money. once start playing the games it is amazing

 

Xbox is the easy choice here if you know what you can do with it. Its 4 player unlike PS2's 2 player ****, it looks better IMO, and modded it will kill the PS2.

The xbox games will be great for you to play, for the kids you can get emulators on the xbox for them. Ive got pretty much every game for Original Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis on my xbox. Along with a ton of N64 games.


Ill agree with trk2loud with his statement about the 360 though, those games are amazing!!!

 

Get a gaming PC.

 

IMO you'll most likely be happy with any of the big 3. I have them all and love them. If you really want your kids to have fun then the GameCube is a great choice. You will also enjoy it as well as it is fun for adults as well.

The PS2 has a huge library of games however, due to the PS2's extremely unpowered hardware I would recommend getting one of the other two.

The XBox is the most powerful of the three and at this point in time also has a ton of really fun titles. 2 years ago I would have told you to go with a Cube or PS2, but since that time the XBox has really added a lot of stellar titles to it's library.

Conclusion, I'd go with a Cube or XBox.

 

PS2 has more, and better games. You can buy an adaptor to enable 4 players. Cheaper.
You can get a PS2 modded to play burned games if you're into that (as well as xbox). The controllers on the ps2 just rock. The ps2's hardware is underpowered compared to the other two, but it's been around for longer, the programmers have comes to grips with the hardware so yeah the graphics might be a bit better on the others, but nothing that makes you go WOW this is so much better! (Only the xbox 360 will do that)

 

I love my X Box.

 

i just got a gamecube. it is also now easily modded ( 6 wires to soughter)

has all the nes titles such as mario and most big name games go to it as well. and it has tons of kids games. which is what your kids age is.

like gc has the 007 games, prince of persia, the sports games , zelda, metroid prrime, .. list goes on . i liek my gamecube and they are much cheaper.

like walmart had them for 72 bucks for boxing day
