Out here we have a chain called Centex...Not sure where all they are located....They are typically anywhere from 3-4 cents cheaper than other stations and on Weds,Sat,and Sun the drop the price an extra 2.5 cents per liter..good deal! [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

Tonight I pull in and have to wait a minute for a bay to clear.While I'm sitting and waiting there seems to be a bit of a comotion going on.Didnt think anything of it..

I pull up to a pump,grab the nozzle for regular...Suddenly a gas attendent comes running over "NO NO!!We're out of Regular...Use Premium!"So I look and find they dropped the price of prem. down to regular's sale price...71.4cents/L!! [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img] Their regular price for premium is posted as 79.something...

And lucky me...Right after I paid...They started shutting down for the night...

Anyone else ever run into something like this?

 

I am from the Camrose area where in 2002-2003 we had gas wars, down to the 30's for regular. While edmonton and calgary are at least twice the price.

 

30 - 40 . i can remember when gas was 5 bucks filled my tank. man am i old

 

aaron...do you know that centex water down thier gas???...or so the rumor goes...

It's happened to me a few times at perto canada. When they run out of regular, they sell the higher stuff for the same price. Although my car really only needs regular, so getting expensive gas for cheap means nothing to me.

 

It happened to me at another major brand. No more reg? Premium for reg price. Its good customer service.

 

I have my serious doubts they water the gas down...I've been using it for over a tear now and never had any problems...


...And the mailbox is cleared....

 

Pioneer gas has run out of regular a few times in my town. My dad filled up, came home and told me to go down. He took his summer car to get the premium and when we got there, a tanker was there filling up the regular LOL.

Still sweet when it does happen, even if it makes no difference it just makes u think you have done something good lol.
