Alot of people write Cherry off cus he didn't invent somthing or wasn't a politician. He has done alot for Canadian hockey and for the CBC for that matter. Sure he is opinionated and sometimes ignorant, but you have to give the guy credit for keeping freedom of speach alive on tv.

yay....wooopie....hooray....
so tommy douglas will be the greatest canadian...until next year when they try to run the show again so that CBC will have another series to fill that hour of broadcasting up. i can just see it now...ten years down the line they will be announcing "and the greatest canadian for 2014 is...Wayne Gretzky!" and then they'll be all reminiscent "hey, can you remember ten years ago when Wayne was in the tenth spot for greatest canadian"....stupid CBC.
