Who was in there that wasnt Canadian? I was watching something else instead I cant remember what though.
I know Gretzky is a huge Candadian icon, BUT what contributions has he made to further us as a country? Hockey. Thats it. A sport which he got paid huge amounts of dollars to play 90% of his carreer in the US. Also a country which he lived and still does live. Does that exemplify everything Canadian?

As far as the non-Canadian's there were a couple British dudes that hepled win the war of 1812 and one other guy I can't remember. The site only lists alphabetically, not in the top 50 like they did last night.
</font>
IMO he deserves to be in the top 50 but he doesnt deserve to be the top one cuz ur right he only really benefited our country with hockey. And if you notice most hockey players whether in Canada or the United States are Canadian or European... I think we have more non-canadians on our Canadian teams to be honest lol

Aren't we in someway joined with The British one way or another can we not consider them canadian or am i wrong on this?

Terry Fox should be #1. He is an icon that did so much for our country.

You know, I had pretty much the same conversation with the missus last night. Before the show started I said unfortunatley this isn't really going to be about the greatest Canadian but a popularity contest between politicians/actors/athlethes and a few historical figures.

15 minutes into watching it my thoughts were confirmed and we changed the channel to watch Venture. Looking at the top 50 list I see what a complete joke the show was.

Pamela Anderson, Don Cherry, Brian Mulrooney.... give me a freakin' break. The show was misnamed, plain and simple. Should have been called "Canada's Most Popular Vote".

The REAL greatest Cdn's are the one's who gave themselves selflessly like Terry Fox. Funny how Bruce C.0ckburn (edit cause you can't spell rooster "the other way") didn't make the list. His music sucks but he's spent the last 20 years using what publicity he has to get Thirld World issues in the media.

Trudeau for #1 in my books.

Are The Guess Who Mentioned for the top 150? Their music put Canada on the music charts in the 70s?

ANywho, I vote for em
