Guns n Roses...

Well.. I have no idea how it happened but I managed to be talked in to going to the Guns n Roses concert tonight in Ottawa.

I read a review of the TO show and apparently it wasn't too bad.

Has anyone here seen them recently? How was it?

This isn't really my type of music, but a buddy wanted to go so he convinced me. I mean, who doesn't want to hear Paradise City or November Rain? It's only 1 night, so I can deal with it.

Ive got some tickets to check it out in Calgary in December and the reviews of the show I have hear and read have gone as far to call the performance epic and a must see. Even though its just Axl and some other guys playing behind him it should be a good show, the singer is the one who makes the song sound the way it should.

What's so different, that's the way it was back in the day... It has always, and always will be about Axl...

that being said, GnR are always on the playlist, along with maiden, Metallica, megadeth, and the like....

Hey guys jsut seen them at the halifax metro center monday night, they took the stage a little late but the show is phenomenal, from the pyrotechnics to the laser show its all top notch and axle still has it, this show is a definite must see, the only thing missing is a stove pipe top hat and a golden gibson.

Honestly... it was friggin terrible.

The show started at 8pm, but they didn't get on until midnight... Axel sounded like ... there was very little 'show' to it... and it was done at 2am...

just a bad time in general...

I saw them in 1988...89. with AC-Dc or iron maiden...some group of guys awith lots of hair. Motley Crue was a good show. I saw metallica in 85 in the salons of the civic center,(on 3000 ppl)and like 8more times after that. The last time was woodstock 94.that was good too. All the Maiden shows rocked. I cant believe im telling ppl this..ouch...

I go to alot of concerts. Damn near every major show. I choose not to waste $100 on washed up axle. Let's be honest, most of the time when you buy tickets to guns and roses there is a good chance you may not actually see the show. I got to see Slash up close last year with Velvet Revolver.
Less then 2 weeks to Aerosmith/Motley Crue
