Guys, How should I mod my car?

Hey Everybody, one of my winter porjects is to paint my car. If you haven't seen it: Pictured Here
I don't even know what colour I want to paint it yet. But you know how when you paint a different colour how stupid it looks when guys don't do the doors, trunk lid, under hood...
I'll have to go that extra mile anyways. But I want the new paint to blend in nicely with the interior.
I want to shave the trunk key hole and that stupid hood emblem. I was thining about trying Lamborghini doors.
Anyone think that shaving the trunk is a bad idea. I know that if that actuator ever dies on me I will have to wreck the lock opening it to fix it.
I can be creative with this without blowing the banks as one of my buddies is a Auto Body Tech. so all the prep will be done the cost of some our time, Burgers and beer.
Any other body ideas?

I wouldn't do the lambo doors. You have the chance to tastefully customize a car here. don't rice it out or make a BIG LOOK AT ME type of car. Subtle modifiacations that only classy people would notice are where it's at. Here's what I would do
1. Trade it in for a non grandma car.
Haha, just kidding Bryce.
1. Shave the "luggage rack" off the trunk.
2. Shave all the body mouldings around the beltline.
3. Lower the front about an inch.
4. Put on some subtle rims, maybe in chrome.
5. 383 stroker motor.

I'm not positive on this but isn't it a front driver? If I'm right then a motor swap isn't so ideal.
But I like the idea of shaving everything and keeping it subtle. NO WINGS!!
Smooth it, nice paint, and rims and tread and you're done.

I don't care about the engine, not enough to hack the car to get something in to burn more gas. I think we were pleased with the mileage the granny car got to and from Memphis.
I want to paint the trim across the bottom to match the rest. I don't have a problem with the current colour but I have lots of door dings, and scratches that drive me nuts. I want to have a glass-like finish like Scotts Black Impala, so Black is very well an option for me.
