Unhappy

2001: $3200
2002: $5200 (25% Increase)
2003: $7400 (42% Increase)

I drive a freaking 1998 Hyundai Accent (2Dr Hatch)

I was wondering if you guys could help me find a decent insurance provider that won't drain my pockets. At this point, it is getting insane, come september I will need to fork over $618 a month for insurance alone.

My rate is based on the fact that I am 20, single (well, not married), and that I have had no at fault accidents in the past 3 years (aka: NEVER), and the primary driver of my vehicle.

My brother pays 700 in Montreal, and I pay 7000 in Toronto.

If you guys could help me find a provider (either one that you are with, or have heard of) it would be great, otherwise I am going to have to take the Car, out of Car Audio.

Stupid car is only worth 8,000 (excluding System of course)

Just about every insurance provider is screwing their customers ever since 9-11, atleast that's what they say. The fact is if they only make 15 million in profit a year they still aren't happy. Who are you with now? Check out www.statefarm.com they can give you a quote online.

ING Insurance of Canada

I can't ever manage to use those freaking online forms because basically, if your a new driver, the forms don't have the required information to allow you to get a quote, and I have found that unless you get a web quote first, most companies won't even talk with you.

drop collision

that will save you prolly $2000 a year

and you know that if anything happened to your car over $3000 it'd be a write off. and if not you cna fix it yourself for less thant your insurance will charge you per year.

It is. 7400 ONE WAY COVERAGE.

It is insane.

Write Off, Of Course. Accents are Sub Compact. A civic could probably total my car.

I was thinking about getting a truck and selling my car. How much does having an alarm system installed reduce the insurance payments?

Right now I don't have one but I always wanted to get one just incase.

I have insurance from ING also and they were the cheapest. Try getting insurance through a broker. They might find you a cheaper price. But remember, they will find you the cheapest price out of the insurance companies THEY deal with, not all insurance companies available. Give it a shot and try a couple.
Why has your insurance gone up so much? Rates have not increased that much since 2001. There has to be something you've done wrong to warrant it or you have added something new to the policy.
Only some companies will give you a deduction on the theft part of the policy when you purchase an alarm. It will likely have to be installed by a professional with paperwork to support it also.

If you pay 7G's for insurance, you are crazy.
Call as many agents as possible, you will find a better rate. Do you have any DWI's? Many tickets? Accidents? there must be a reason.

I'm not going to pay 7k for insurance that is for sure, it is cheaper for me to take a taxi.

2 tickets (However the reason for my Policy increase does not state it is because of the two tickets), and I have had no at fault accidents.

Some yahoo in a 96 Neon wanted to go through the red while I was infront of him. Just a scratch to my rear bumper, and it killed his entire front end. Never got the car fixed, inpossible to notice the scratches unless you know what to look for.

My policy even states that I am in good driver standing, the reason for my increase is because of my age group.

Insurance companies will next tell me life insurance policy is going to increase because of the number of teens getting hit by cars.

Dads calling Statefarm today, apparently no insurance companies are accepting NEW clients.

RoyalBank Gave me 6175. saves myself 1300 (that I can put into Car Audio )

Its not just me too.. My dads went up 30% last year, and another 32% this year. Hes paying 2500 for his car, and he hasn't had a ticket or accident in almost 7 years.
