my google search is screwed, whether thru the webpage or toolbar.

When i search thru either instead of getting normal results, i get like pages that want me to buy stuff, like if i search a program. Instead of the homepage coming up as one of the first results i'll just get 750,000 places to buy that program from.

It gives me an address of: http://61.131.54.618.cc/search.php?a...ike+witt&meta=

I had buddy search the same thing (his name) and he came up with a different link, one that was within google. I click on his link and it still takes me to the messed up version.

searched with ad-aware and spybot to no avail. Used my antivirus to no help.

Now that i look at the above link "aid" it must be spyware or a program of some sort

I'll go thru the add/remove programs menu again...nothing outta the ordinary.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the toolbar, i'm try'n agani without the toolbar see if there's any chance.

any other help or ideas?

You've got a browser hijacker... have you tried AdAware or Spybot?

don't forget to do an update before you use it
also there are updated either spybot or adaware
if you have the new versions they will update
if you don't they won't update

on a ligher note, i duno whats wrong haha. But Id get your hands on a new virus scanner, adware, and spy wear programs and update them every other day or once a week or something.

hmm needless to say i rebooted, and then in my add/remove programs menu were about 8 random programs that shouldn't have been, and that i couldn't remove in either there or safe mode for some reason or other. Did a restore back to yesterday and all is peachy now. YAY. I can search again.

I had tons of internet problems until I used ad-aware, I found out I had 700 different "data miner" and datashare garbage, which basically ruined my internet, then I used that, and my internet runs awesome, and my computer is twice as fast.
