dunno what type of PC you have, but do you have a BIOS reset jumper on your MOBO? If so use it.

If not, disconnect or remove essentially everything you can and then try booting. Remove/disconnect ide/sata and optical drives. Any non-needed pci/similar cards. Basically try and get it down to video, memory, mobo and power then boot. See what happens. If still no go assuming it's onboard video, remove the memory and see if you can get a consistant memory error with it removed. Possibly try just a single stick of memory. Try some of the above and let us know.

your bios was reset when you replaced the battery, so don't worry about it, but do as hardcore suggested and let us know the results
