If you have 50k to spend ... I would never waste it on north american designed garbage.
BMW or the Acura. Both have interiors built with quality in mind, handle well, and have good reliability records. With the stang, you can guarantee problems and it'll be squaeking and creaking in 2 years.

the new acuras are definatley deadly. for 50k i'd stay away from northamerican and get something euro or asian. build quality always seems to be nicer with those cars. if you going to go bmw definatley look at the previous body style. the new body doesnt really look all that bmw. the acura tl is a pretty nice car too. also a new or used audi s4 would be quite a machine to have aswell.
hmm my vote went to the 2006 300c SRT8.
Only problem is i'm not sure as to whether it's gonna be under 50k cdn. I think last time i was lookin at them, i saw american pricing of about $42k or so. That being said, I haven't actually driven one, so i dunno what the handling is like but specs sound rather nice! Meh, it's also automanual which i've read is more automatic than manual, so that might be out

id say a charger or the new mustang gt . i have never recomended ford before in my life. but they definitly hit it nice with the new GT.
for under 30 check out the new Cobalt ss looks very nice too me. 18" rims, 7 speaker stereo system , 205 horses( with lots of mods available)

get ahold of an 1988 M5 (e28) it's thee nicest car I've ever driven and take it to the Dinan dealer in richmond and drop 15K on performance parts and it'll stomp any new BMW on the market..... other than a new M3 or M5. Or like was suggested to get one of those new scions..... we have 2 here in Kamloops at the dealership.... if I were lookin for sporty car I'd buy a G35....
