The wagon on the right side of the street has an antennae in the middle of the roof - very European in design. The last vehicle appears to be a late model VW bus - not exactly a common sight on these sylvan North American shores. The other vehicles are ambiguous - a small SUV and an Acura NSX. They could be anywhere. The shoreline does not look like it is subject to tidal action; hence my belief that the body of water is a lake. Morevover, that sort of ice accumulation would likely have to be fresh water, not salt water. Those facts, plus the fact that the architecture looks French and - get this - the blue shutters are in use, suggests to me Lake Geneva in the French part of Switzerland. Reinforcing this view is that the winter weather in Geneva can be miserable - cold, wet, windy.
