Honda Engines
I was testing out a Honda Civic Si '91 and right off the start it ran blue smoke, the dealer told me he had the local shop check it out and they said the car was in great shape, and the engine was fine, just some of these vehicles run blue right off the line. do any of you think there is truth to this ? i have always thought that meant a seal was leaking or something and itw as burning oil.
Some Civics came as a 2 stroke, and that leak was meant to be, so that it would get the mixture right.
Personally, I never heard of such a thing. The previous owner probably thought it was the fastest car on earth and bagged the crap out of the throttle.

We had a guy in high school convinced his civic was a 2 stroke. He was good and ready to start mixing gas for it too. Now I'm not mechanical wiz, but who honestly thinks they would need to mix gas for their car? Crazy kids.
cool - i kinda thought it was a joke
(the 2 stroke thing)
hey for one of our boats we have to mix gas and oil.
for blue smoke in a car odds are its valve seals/guides and /or piston rings being worn out.
the car might pass an e-test the way it is..

if it pushed blue just after you started it, and not after it runs for a while, its prolly just the valve stem seals ; but if it does it all the time, or while accelerating/decelerating, its the oil controll rings
, either way its some work.
