get a court date then call in stateing that you are unable to attend and get another court date do this same step again on the 3rd date show up 90% of the time the cop wont be there charges dropped, slow down next time.

Oh I dont want to read about this not working cause I have just seen 4 of my friends do this and worked all 4 times.

 

I was speeding on Monday.
I got caught doing 21kph over the legal limit.
I got 3 points.
I apologized to the officer.
I paid the ticket on Tuesday.
I saved $25 for early payment.
I took responsibility for my illegal actions.
Life goes on.

 

Tickets suck, but meh, unless it was something cheesy like 9km over the speedlimit, you did the crime, do the time kinda thing (thats probably not even how hte saying go's but you know what i mean).

Pipes had good advice but, if you don't wanna get a ticket don't speed. If you do, you'll end up like me, payin way more than you should be on your insurance, and dumb things like that.

 

look at it this way. speeding ticket is just another way of tax. sure i will pay the $50 fine if i was speeding but the 70% increase in my insurance premium over the next 3 years is just a robery!!!

people who are not from ontario should not even reply to this post. 120km/hr is the slowest u go here, any slower and u are going to get pushed over into the shoulder. i really dont know why a cop gave u ticket for 120km/hr on a 400 type highway, i hit faster than that while still on the rap going onto the highway.

your best bet is to do what that other dude said. dress nice, be polite and pleae for a lesser charge.

 

Plain and simple, if you don't wanna pay the fine Don't Speed. There is a limit for a reason. MR2 is right driving is a priviledge not a right. A priviledge often abused.

And you're wrong the slowest car on the highway is 90 km/hr I see it A LOT. The people going 120 km/hr mistaken for the slowest is because they're always in your lane or they're most commonly seen on the highway. How often do you drive in the right lane not to mention when you get near a major city or city in general? The drivers go down to 90 km/h [img]graemlins/banghead.gif[/img] Makes it seem like the offramp you want will take forever to get to.

Speeding can be considered a crime, there for your "Shouldnt that cop be fighting crime or doing something useful?" comment is wrong as the cop is 'fighting crime' and doing something useful. Your tax dollars pay HIS Salary. SPEED KILLS if you can't live with the consequences as I said once before DONT SPEED. The road laws are there for a reason. Next time someone is driving 120km/hr and hits someone you care about and seriously injures them, talk to me about the cop being useless then when he didnt pull them over. Or worse hits you, I'd like to see you complain about the cop in that situation. For all you know he could've saved your life.

Wake up pay the fine and don't speed. End of story. Cops get paid to do their job, so let them do it. I don't care if its the dumbest ticket in the world, everything happens for a reason. No one said you HAD to do it. You chose to.

 

yah speed kills. 120km/hr kills BUT GUESS WHAT 100km/hr KILLS TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! and its perfectly legal. this 'speed kills' comment is pretty ****ing useless, anything from 70km/hr to 270km/hr kills can kill u just fine.

so Blind, if someone hit someone you know while going 120 you would be pretty pissed, but if they hit 'em goin 100 you would not care? hahaahahha
