I am looking for a way to make the lights go to the beat in my car?

Without hooking them to the speaker wire I would like to get some lights I have to go to the beat?

A while back I seen Wal-Mart had this switch that you put your power wire into and then it had a few outputs that you hooked lights up too and it made the lights go to the beat?

I dont wanna look my lights up to the speakers. But I knew I seen one of these things before. Buts its a real pain trying to find it again (of course). I googled so many different things and I havent found anything. I also looked on eBay and havent found anything there either. So Im wondering if anyone knows where I could get one of these? Via internet or a store.

Thanks a lot.

The thing with this technology, is that the music will be so loud that it won't actually beat and pulse to the music, but just stay on all the time.
Even the new Kia Soul with optional speakers that light up in the front doors, I tried it last night in a car and after a certain point in volume, it would just stay lit up ...

I mean the IDEA of it is great but in reality, I just don't see it beating to the bass. It won't happen.

If you want to accomplish this though, I believe there's products on the internet. Don't know where, but they're out there.

Ya after a few hours of re-phrasing my search and many different search engines I finally found my answer on Ask Jeeves. There is a little control box for $50 that you can control up to 12 lights on. So even if it doesnt work the greatest and just stays on its still a great way to hook up my underglow and different type of lights. Its worth a shot right? Plus if I get this done in time I have a good chance on winning a very small local car show. So far I have 2 10" subs, new back speakers, an amp, 2 capacitors (only gonna use one for this system for now, and they r on the way), new led dash lights, red switch for everything, 3 strip lights one in the back seat 2 in the trunk, and fog lights on my jetta and all this has only cost me $100. The subs are from a fe years back same with the amp, the caps are $70 the switch and lights for the dash were the oither $30, then i got the strip lights for free the new back speakers were also bought a few years back.

So I thought $50 for this control box thing for the lights would be a little investment for what I have done to the car already and would add some charater. Also gonna be hooking up underglow to it so its a lot less wiring.

And underglows are illegal in Ontario, just so you know.
So enjoy them while you're parked

i dont know about this first statement

my buddy had some that you set the sensitivity so the louder the music the lower the sensitivity so it still strobed. and vice versa
