Yesterday morning I start my car notice this odd burning smell I don't see smoke nothing seems to have gone away.. Then later that evening I start the car again notice this smell again still no smoke or nothing I am running complete stock system but I smell the speakers radio etc etc, the trunks/engine bay nothing there... I look under my dash and I found this is where the smell is comming from ... but I don't see wires that look melted well not that I could get 100% look but what could cause this? I noticed it only happens when I start the car and nothing else.. I know Gm did recall on previous year models due to High current and the wire would/could melt if ur car didn't start and you let it just crank over so they installed a relay to preven the high current from melting down the wires... Any of you Mechs out there heard of this? It's almost like electrical smells of sorts....

i had a coin toss with a buddy at one place i worked at,fortunately i won,and was allowed to look at the work order.
had only one word "Mouse"
we had an a/c tech from another shop come by ,and we told him "something's wrong with the heater in that car"
that was the funniest thing. he must have sat in there for 5 mins with the heat cranked before he asked to see the work order.
it was mean but we laughed for days..

Now these Bulletins are they just issues that's been had or actual recalls? I noticed one about Engine - New Cylinder Bore Liner Replacement Procedure... for what reason would this have to be done?
