And I thought my 'donut shop' days were done!

Weather is getting nice and it's time to start thinking car audio.
A little intro...
I started assembling a system several years ago for my Cherokee. As the Cherokee build was nearing completion, audio components were next on the list. Long story short; my 95% complete rebuild (paint, body, lift, engine, interior) was stolen from my driveway and used in a robbery.

Picture was taken weeks before the theft.

I'm still bitter!

So I had some nice components for my pending system and mixed them with some lower end stuff and installed in in my wife's van.

Given the mix, I was astonished at how well it sounded.
McIntosh MX401 HU
Alpine ERE G180 EQ (for sub control and additional pre-outs)
3 MTX Blue Thunder Pro 752 (one for each sub, one for components)
2 12" Infinity Perfect 12.1 4ohm SVC in a sealed box
Pioneer 6.5" Components

Now it's time to complete the system and install into my Suburban.

The headunit is staying... it's non negotiable

The subs are exactly the sound I enjoy; punchy and clean for a really wide range of music.

The amps still blow my socks off... wayyyyy under rated! But, I'm not against adding some real D Class power to the subs and possible adding one or two more subs.

I'll need an in dash EQ; the Apline doesn't have Aux-In and I would like a quick hook up for XM.

My major dilema is what components to run. When I was spec'ing the system for the Jeep I was considering Utopia's. Naturally, this time around, I thought I'd look for some. Whoaaaaa! Have they changed! Cross them off the list!
Plan B then and now might be ID's or Perfect 6.1's. I might even consider some of the cheaper Focals but I'll have to have a listen for that kind of coin.

I'd like to do it on a pretty tight budget so it doesn't cut into my other hobbies but I'm not afraid to spend for good value.

I'd really like to see....
McIntosh MX401
Clarion EQS 746 EQ
JL 1000/1
JL 450/4
Subs: 4 Infinty Perfect 12.1 (wired 4ohm sealed)
Front: Infinity Perfect 6.1
Rear: Infinity Kappa components

BUT, that's a whack of money. I'm intrigued by some of the D Class full range amps, specifically from Infinity. I don't feel the need to match speakers and amps but the price is certainly appealing provided the amps can deliver.

Now I'm just rambling. I'm open to opinions and I'll be scanning the site. Probably have some specific questions along the way.
