U can never say u will be safer in one car over another because u havnt been in the exact same incident in each car. Also it will cost u a lot less to fix a bumper on a saturn than it would a cavalier given the occasion somebody ran into u.

Head on collision in a plastic Saturn at 150km/hr = DEAD
Head on collision in a plastic cavalier at 150km/hr = DEAD
I have a feeling you're gonna be seriously messed up either way. Nice try Terri!
I'm only teasing anyway, but seriously, they are both very small cars that don't look all that sturdy. I think you'd be hurt bad in anything other than a fender bender in either of them!

interesting enough according to highway safety data institute a cavalier rates alot lower in safety standards than its saturn model counterpart, matter of fact cavalier is THE lowest in the category, http://www.hwysafety.org/ratings/summary.aspx?class=40
so i dont know how u gonna say that u feel safer in a cavalier than u do in a saturn. both cars are budget buckets, both cars will kill you the same way have u happen to smash into something doin 100km/hr.

I drive a brand new Chevy Cobalt, and I do feel safe in my car. But i feel safe due to "safty features" Side curtain airbags, Onstar, etc. Sorry im not gonna rely on what my bumpers and fenders are made out of, to save my life in a head on collision.
