question for you guys.

how many of you register your cars at an address in another city to save on insurance?

my gf would save $1800 a year by doing this, but she claims it is unethical.

i say the insurance company looks out for its best interest, you look out for yours.

My buddies car is registered and insured in Victoria B.C and he lives here in N.S. He bought the car in B.C tho so i don't know how long he can keep it this way. Been this way for 8 months now. I personally dont think the insurance companies are suffering so let them deal with it.

ROFL!!

You dont need to tell you are in an accident if it is not your fault so if you drive responsably then you should be golden. Its always nice to have a safety net though.

i don't blame anyone who lies about they're place of residence to save on insurance. the insurance companies need to be restricted; how can they justify charging a person almost three times more money just based on location? i thought they were insuring me on my driving record? no wait was it the type of car i drove? or was it because of my age? any way the companies are out to take all the money they can and i plan to keep all i can.

let me give more detail.

firstly, in the event of an accident the adjuster comes to where the car is. it has nothing to do with where the person lives. very often adjusters have to go to remote locations to look at cars.

in this specific case she would be changing her license to my home address in st. catharines and say that she is moving in with me.

my mother has said that this is fine, and even encouraged it because of the amount she would save.

any surface questions by insurance company on the issue would be supported my my mother or myself.

the likelihood of there actually being a claim, and then an investigation, and then inquiry into her actual address, and then such thorough research to prove otherwise is more than highly unlikely.

also, i have beaten several issues like this recently.

i defeated my new insurance compeny who claimed i had been cancelled by a preior company, and i fixed a friends claim when the insurance company refused to pay.

i am 100% certain i could pull this off, except for my gf being so timid, which is a quality to be admired in a lady sometimes, but in this case it means she pays twice as much for insurance as she should be.

My friend is a adjuster , you might aswell call her a private investigator. They look up everything and they ask you questions purposely to screw you up. They get paid to see you not get paid understand?
