Integra Home Recievers
#1
Anybody use these or played with them at all? I'd like to find somewhere in the GTA that has them instead of ordering off the net.
I'm having trouble with my Harman Kardon AVR-500 and I've been wanting to try something new. It's a toss-up between an Integra or Anthem reciever.
Whatwould you guys pick?

My money would go to the Anthem. If I had that kind of money to through around.
Good upgradability, Canadian, lots of features...
But that is just my opinion.

The Anthem would be sweet, it's got a lot of stuff I don't really need though, it's also very expensive. I'd never pay $4500 for one though if I did decide to buy one.
I had my eye on the Integra DTR 6.2. I saw it on their website and started really looking into it...it's relativly cheap for a unit that has the second zone outputs, it looks simple enough to use and it's got all the inputs I need.
The AVM 20, while a very nice peice, has WAY more than I need...I don't see the point of paying for stuff I won't use.
I was also thinking of a couple mainstream units as well. I was thinking: Harman Kardon AVR-630 or the Denon AVR-2803.

honestly, it's not that much, especially for really good product.
You wouldn't go buy a top of the line Kenwood for the same money as a relativly good Denon if you could afford it would you?
That's they way I see it anyway.

What's the difference between the 2803 and the 2802?
Is it just older?
I'm a HUGE Denon fan so this would be a sweet unit for me. especially if I can pick up the 5900 DVD player for $600CAN...that would be an amazing combo.

the 2802 is the previous years model. I bought the 2802 just after the release of the 2803.. Stores where clearing the 2802's out so i got a really good deal.
The main differences between the 2802 and 2803 is: -2803 has a 7 channel amp and does 7.1 (The 2802 only has a 6 channel amp for 6.1, BUT it still can do 7.1 through external outputs)
- The 2803 has 2 more digital inputs, 5 vs 3 on the 2802.
Thats the main differences anyway.. I looked at both units and decided the 2802 was the better deal at the reduced price.
