Tonight marks the 25th anniversery of the shooting of John Lennon.A sad day in music history indeed.

What I am about to say is by no means meant to come across as me belittling the contributions Lennon made to not just the music world, but the world as a whole..He was a great man who did great things..RIP John Lennon....

But....

When was the last time you heard of people greiving the anniversery of the death of Mother Theresea?Or The Pope?or Ghandi?

I think its sad that it takes someone being a rockstar who lived in the lime light to get noticed for his/her work(s).

But even on that note, what about George Harrison, the other former Beatle, who if memory serves me right(please correct me if I'm wrong)did numerous things to make the world a better place as well...You never hear anything of him...

I think thats sad.....

Whats even sadder is the "common" people who put there whole lives into make the world a better place for us all..The soup kitchen volenteers, the people who answer phones on the crisis hotlines..just to name a couple....who get little recognition.

I dont know, maybe I'm looking at this all wrong, but thats just how I feel...

Whats your thoughts?

The fact that he was murdered brings him into the spotlight more than others.

I hope you're directing that at Dimebag and not Lennon because Lennon is all over the newspapers for the past week.

The Beatles sucked and Lennon was a weirdo.

And it's seems like Lennon is getting more real estate in the press than was given to Rememberance Day a few weeks back which is really sad.

Dimebag darrell wasn't exactly the poster child for peice With the excessive drinking, drugs, and songs like "****ing Hostile", or "Suicide Note" People will remember him, but not the same way to say the least.

I don't think The Beatles sucked by any means. I do agree that Lennon was a tad weird though. And people need to stop hailing the group as the greatest of all time. They were a 60's-70's boy band. That'd be like branding NSYNC the greatest band of this generation. Which would just be retarded. I can see it now. PLaying "Bye, Bye" over and over again on the oldies station in 30 years.... uhhh God!
