lookin for some new heavy metal music (need new bands) ideas??
Hey guys n gals. I'm lookin for some new music, picked up toby keiths greatest hits #2 today at HMV and it's killer. What i'd really like though is some solid metal.
I saw about a billion bands in the metal section about 99% which i've never heard of. Lookin for some recommendations. Whatever i get, i'd like to have a generally good beat. Granted pantera has some good songs, i don't like the fact that there's no bass to their songs. Below is a list of stuff i do like/listen to in that respect, maybe you all can list some similar stuff, or solid bands (maybe even songs).
Dope
System of a Dwon
Slipknot
Sevendust
One Minute Silence
Mushroomhead
Hed PE
Mudvayne
Megadeth
Anthrax
Some of those are a bit harder than others, but maybe that'll give someone some idea's of some new bands or songs i can check out.

Toby Keith? You're kidding right? The guy with the Aviators and Crown Royal bottle listens to country?
Anyway, I saw slipknot on there so, I'm gonna suggest Kataklysm.
I'll also suggest Shadows Fall, either The Art Of Balance or The War Within...both rock solid cd's.
In Flames RULES if you're into the screamo kind of music...there like Alexisonfire but heavier....couple very good song from them are pinball map and Clayman
Also check out Children Of Bodom.
Oh, Unearth is insane too.

Brandon he's from Alberta, I'd say about 80% of Albertians(sp) like Country music man lol As for Stonermetal I would think Mushroom Head etc Most people I know that listen to heavy metal are stoners though.
