Looks like Canada is going to be having border problems with Americans like America has with Mexico.

Why, you have to have an authorized card to be shown to the pharmacy to buy it.
Did you think that any american can just come up and buy it? it isnt asprin.
Plus americans dont need to come up here, its our number 1 export in BC.

Ya americans make me laugh,,,, They are worried about our pot...
how about the guns that we are trading for the pot accross the boarder...
how about some gun control in that country.
Guns kill, pot takes longer to give lung cancer

"But the department is changing the regulations to allow participating pharmacies to stock marijuana for sale to approved patients without a doctor's prescription, similar to regulations governing so-called morning-after pills" a fairly liberal policy for any controlled substance/ drug. $113 an oz strikes me as pricey and all the good it could do is being consumed in a money grab. I mean who can afford that stuff!
I don’t get the hostility?
I don’t get the hostility? There is a lot of gun control in the US but gun control simply is an ineffectual tool. The legal gun owners, for the most part, are not the problem it is the illegal gun owners and laws are not a deterrent to them. I think all borders should be honoured, and the problem from your point of view is actually the Canadian border patrol since they are supposed to stop smuggling of guns into Canada.
Until this response I never knew weed was a major Canadian export! I am pretty out of the loop drug-wise. I assumed it was imported from points south and in various backyards and fields throughout the country. The poor folks who need the med-merijohoochie are the folks I feel for, they have AIDS or cancer and this is actually a fairly humane concept, but the price is way out of control.

^perhaps I am further out of the loop then I thought! I just asked everyone I know how much an oz of weed goes for and nobody knew...
I wonder if Canada legalizing it would raise or lower the quality and price? Think of all the new jobs regulating the industry (and the folks who were fighting the trafficking will still be employed too). In theory the price should fall but how long do you really think it would take Ottawa to levy a nice fat wacko-weed tax on it? Without either US or Canadian gov intrusion I would think the price would fall to 1/3 with full legalization… never happen.
