metallica
my dad has gone to see metalica 5 times now. he even flew to San Fran from tampa fl. to see them. i saw godsmak play at the hard rock live in orlando on new years eve a couple years back. sevendust opened for them. i dont really like rock or rock concerts but they put one hell of a show on. and that doesnt mean im a country fan either, just in case moe reads this lol
I like a few of there songs, but wouldn't be something I'd care for, not really into their or that style of music. I guess I am more into the newer alternative stuff that doesn't involve major guitar/drums, Enter Sandman, Turn the page, and Unforgiven are the main songs that come to mind I like. I think those are my favs from Metallica there might be a few more but can't think of any.

Metallica was wicked. But now they suck.
Jason needs to come back and they need to go back to thier old style (pre black album).
But what I would REALLY love to see happen is a monsters of rock tour just like back in the day, but with Metallica,Megadeath,Iron Maiden,Pantera, Motley Crue and maybe toss in some AC/DC or something just for ****s and giggles.

Yup it was a great show, went in Edmonton. The double drums by Godsmack was amazing. I also like the older stuff better, but you have to realize Metallica has been around for sooo long they can't just keep doing the same thing (even thought it rocked). The band wanted to evolve and do different stuff, can't blame them ..
That would definately rock..
I've got some vids from the monster of rock tour's down in south america.. absolutely crazy .. i think they had what 200-300K people packed into some of those..

Ya Monsters Of Rock were HUGE back in the day.
Sars Fest was the closest thing to a Monsters Of Rock in like 15 years and even it wasn't that great....Aside from the drugs, beer and AC/DC, it wasn't all I thought it would be. It was definatly the biggest concert I could ever imagine going to and there was some pretty good bands.....but, it was too damn hot, not enough ***** and I don't like most new rock bands like Sam Roberts. The Tea Party had terrible sound, which really dissapointed me because they are good.
Anyway, enough complaining about that. Metallica wanted a change...that's understandable, but I think they went WAY overboard with this like death metal kind of sound....as a guitar player, I must say some of the riffs are great, but they are not Metallica riffs, they are more like Pantera/Static-X riffs. Kirk isn't playing nearly to his full potential because of this new sound they've come out with and that really pisses me off because he's one of my favourite guitar players. I think Metallica should seperate untill they go back to their old ways, kinda like a "time out" for the band. Also, Velvet Revolver is wicked....I would have no problem seeing soemthing like this happen with metallica.
