I say Metallica over them Old Aussie's anyday!! Bonscott was Amazing, for those few albums(RIP), but metallica All the way!! and as for Guns n Roses, they were good until some certain events happened, Ahem cough*axel pose*ahem cough!!!

I love AC/DC.. but Metallica was definatly the band that got me into rock and metal.... based on my music collection, well I probably also have 2x the metallica CDs.....
So I am going to have to go with metallica for sure..

seen them both in concert in the old days. saw ac/dc on the "fly on the wall" tour (i think been so long) and sucked ***, this band loudness opened for them and blew em off the stage.
saw metallica in 87 at the monsters of rock in buffalo, think that was the garage days tour. they were the real deal back than.
metallica has my vote.

I don't usually participate in these type of discussions. I've seen them both in concert a few times, AC/DC is always a better party. But I prefer Metalica's sound and songs.
But whats with the comparisson idea? Didn't know creating music was a sport or a competion. I have a good sized record/cd collection of both bands. And a lot more.
When i fill up my 6 and 12 packs for the car, i always make sure i include one metalica, one led zeppelin and one judas preist. the rest are random picks from about a 200 cd collection.
