I love the military, you can be an MP in any of the elements (air, land or sea) and I believe they get Specialist pay, so they make a little more than the average joe at the same rank level.

I am just thinking that if I'm going to be a Police officer, being an MP will help me get a job as a regular Police officer. Also it will let me explore BC (Hopefully) for 3 years. I am from Ontario and it's not quite the same as BC or even Nova Scotia which are both on the Ocean.

I guess I don't want to go to war, is it a fact that MP's are the first to go for war?

 

I'd think its easier to become an MP than a regular police officer or at least a shorter process. Your also giving to your country and getting a lot more out of it probably.

And it might be true that ur first to goto war becuz ur almost or are at the front of the ranks you know?

 

Ya I am pretty sure it is easier to become an MP than a regular Police officer. That is one reason I am considering it. If I have to try for a year ot become regular police, why not take 3 and work as an MP. After being an MP I am quite sure that becoming a regular Police officer will be quite easy.

I'm not so sure about the war thing though, because as an MP you wouldn't be trained for any war purpose. I am pretty sure that in a time of war you would go with the fighters and police them where ever the war is.

 

I am sorry to inform you, but MPs are not "real" police officers.. they are just well paid security guards..If you do go officer, as opposed to non commissioned member, then there might be some advantages. Call or visit your local recruiting center before you do anything drastic.. hehe

 

Just heard that they start out at 44,700 per year [img]smile.gif[/img] Not too bad at all.

I realize that they aren't REAL police, but that is why I am considering doing it so i can become a REAL police officer.

They said that you go where they require you, Land Sea or Air. I would want sea only. I don't know how hard it would be to get what you want.

I guess I'll have to talk with a recruiter.
