Morel Fat Lady Speakers $32,000.
Morel Loudspeakers - Home Audio - Fatlady Project
The price of these speakers tell me they might be within top 10 in the world for home audio, $32.000 a pair. HOLY ****
Anyone ever get a chance to listen to these?

^ If I had the cheddar to drop on home speakers in that range, I'd go for the B&W Nautilus. Nothing cooler.
Those Macintosh speakers remind me of the Infinity IRS V towers that were around in the late 80's. Each side had two towers: one holding 6 12's that I believe came with their own amp that was over 1kW, and the other tower had like 36 ribbon (Emit-K?) tweeters and 12 or so mids in it. Their cost was $50k/pair and this was 20+ years ago. I'm going off memory here so don't quote me and I haven't done a google search yet on them.
EDIT: I did a search and here's a link: http://www.infinity-classics.de/infinity/models/IRS-series+Beta+Gamma-Delta-Sigma-Epsilon-1988-95-98/IRS/body_irs.html

I haven't heard the new Morel, but always did like their SQ, found it very neutral and very detailed.
Can't say I like the looks of them (not in my living room anyway), and looking at the design, makes me wonder why the drivers are so far apart?
just checked out thuse out...is there a typo...says half a million for them..I'll need two,,one for back up of course..there is no way they can be worth it..I would expect a happy ending ,after every song if ya know what i mean.As a chep irishman..I.m sure i could build that for a case of beer lol.
