Hey guys, just bought my first car, it's a 97 Ford Thunderbird LX with the 4.6. The thing drives smooth as silk and has tons of guts. First thing I want to do is get some new mufflers to fit in the stock location. I want something that'll make it sound a little more mean like I know it can. What mufflers could you guys recommend on a budget? I was looking at flowmaster 40 series but there pricey. Let me know what you think too

Very nice. Especially for a first car. Get some sweet rims and a nice little sound system and you'll be all set!

i'd check out TCCOA.com hmm well thats the tubo coupe club of america, they can always give ideas.

hell you could even check out sccoa, i know there's a link to an eastern canada supercoupe club of america....i realize doesn't completely help you, but surely they can give you a link to an lx forum, although they'll probably rip on you a lil bit too for having an lx, but it's the end result that we're after.

All in all, the tbirds are definitely hot cars, nice classy rides. Too bad it's an LX and not a SC. Although you'll probably have a lot less trouble with the LX and ultimately you could make it go a lil faster!

Nice pickup for afirst car dude!

Spend the extra money and go with the full exhaust system..it'll be worth it. Flowmasters are pimp juice. Oh yah, tint those damn windows O_o

you have fold down seats in tha thing? thats the one thing my SC lacked!

Tbirds are nice for stereo's in that they're pretty well insulated....very quiet cars!!!
