You may want to consider a 2 year contract. It is not that much more for the phone and it is cheaper of you loose or have your phone stolen. Plus I am hard on my phone and need one every two years.

I work for Bell Canada and I have to sell BM. I have a audiovox and I have had no problem with it, but have not had any persnal experience with this one particular. You can choose any cell phone that you choose with the plan that you are looking at. This particular cell is the one that they are offering for free, infact I am pretty sure they are offering a total of 4 different cells right now at $0.00 on a 3 year contract. So if you go into a Bell World store take a look at them there and decide which one you like better.

As for the 3 year contract all the companies are doing that however just so that you know, you can upgrade your cell phone once a year by calling into Bell mobility and normally they have a free cell phone that they can upgrade you to.

It should not of made a difference for the fact that only until last year there was no such thing as a 3 year contract. To tell you the truth the audiovox that I have now was a free upgrade and like I said earlier I have had no problems.

One word of advice I can give you guys is this.... when you call into Bell Mobility looking to find out about a free upgrade, don't come out and ask them right away about it... have in mind what type of phone you are wanting, look the phones up on bell.ca or go into a bell world.

Tell them that you are having problems with your phone, getting old and not working properly and what kind of promotions do they have for current customers... they will tell you about cell phones and then you ask if they have any free upgrades. Since you have a phone in mind by this time ask them specifically about that one and normally you can get that one as a free upgrade or at a really reduced price because they want to keep you as a customer, they will be willing to work with you.

If for some reason you have problems with the rep tell them that you will leave BM and go to another company if they can not help you get a suitable upgrade. Thats only if the first part doesn't work... calling into these places the nicer you are the nicer they are to you.

Hope this helps!

rogers isnt always great. its great if you stay in big cities. soon as you leave the cities get into the burbs and whatnot it sucks *****. i used to be a hardcore rogers user, like 600-700 dollar a month bills but i ended up with telus cause they had better covereage and i didnt miss or drop as many calls. i do miss being able to just swap from phone to phone like you can with the gsm phones. thats the only real advantage of gsm and well if you get a triband thats unlocked you can use it in the uk europe and asia. so if you want coverage telus or bell, if you want coolness and using it in other countries rogers.

I have that phone threw Virgin and the reception sucks *** unless your right in Toronto or really close. In Markham, I can't even make calls while in X1 mode, I have to switch to analog. The phone features are ok but I wouldn't have gotten that phone!

I can't stand audiovox.. signed up to a 2 year contract with bell... the phone lasts maybe 6 months... only used when the wife was at work... went from work, to car into the house.. the odd time got left in the car.. well it start messing up so we send it in... Audiovox says sorry not gonna do anything about it's been dropped in water and has liquid damage?? I bitched got no where so I called Bell told them to suspend my account until the contract runs out.. finally after some time then send me the Samsung A660... and I got my plan to 25$ month taxes included, 150 min weekdays, even weekends free, and message center free for a year.. and if I bundle all my bell **** together it's 5$ off the cell phone so 20$/month for the first year... still yet to activate it...anyway point being Audiovox is **** and doesn't know how to take car of there customers they just point the finger and that's that.
