The auto hide thing won't work. It's not coming up at all.
To enable Systray, it would have to be done through msconfig.
If you can manage to get to the start menu, hit "run", then type "msconfig", without the quotation marks of course. Click on the Startup tab (on the right top corner). Make sure the following is checked:
Systray
Scanreg
2 instances of LoadPowerProfile
You can even uncheck everything else, unless it's your antivirus or Program you KNOW you need running.

[img]smile.gif[/img] my impatience and lack of knowledge when it comes to computers is showing, isn't it. Kind of tough to do a lot of those things, with the "Start" button gone, hitting the Windows key didn't do **** either. This computer has been giving me grief for a few years now. Seems good now, though.
