Hey guys, I'm just wondering why we all seem to have the urge for all this huge bass? I just installed a single 10" L5, ported, in my ride with 800 watts and it is more than adequate, it sounds awesome for a single 10. My usual setup is a 15" BA Inhuman getting 1300 watts and I ask myself why the hell do I need all that? Am I getting old? What makes you guys crave all that huge boom in your daily drivers?

I'm running a single 12 and 300w total (well maybe closer to 600...lol) between 4 speakers and 1 sub...it's plenty loud for me

I can't see either why you have to have bass that will shake your so much that you have to take a **** at the end of a 50 cent track. I tried having more power, but I never listened to it at any different levels than I do now, so it was useless...I think I'll keep my hearing

I love great bass but IMO, bass must blend seamlessly into the rest of the system. When subs overpower a front stage (a common problem in most systems that I have heard) things start to sound like crap.

Cool

i like to have the ability to reproduce the sound of a "who concert" my taste also falls toward the sq side , but i often voyage to "the dark side" i'm proud of the capabilities of my system and i'm always looking into ways of making it louder and cleaner as for why,i say , why not? i compete in spl, and will try iasca sq this coming season

Bass rules! The music just sounds too plain without a little (Or a ton) of booming in the backround!
