Some of you might remember that I used to work at an Esso and my boss got canned and all employees were removed from the site (I still haven't seen that cash)
Well anyways I have not got a T4 slip from her and nobody knows where she is, is there anything I can do because if I don't claim that income the government will probably screw me over.

Any advice will help, thnx.

The first thing you'll want to do is contact CCRA.

You might as well get the answers straight from them about what to do.

Here's a link to the web page. Hope this helps.

Do it soon though because this time of the year is nuts for us.

Did you receive pay stubs? If so, there should be a year to date number on there for each of the items you need to report on your tax return. If you need to complete your return, that would be the place to start. If you never received those, you really have no way of knowing. Chances are if no T4's have been filed with CCRA, they would not be able to tell you what was withheld. It is up to the employer to deposit withholdings with CCRA and then file a T4 summary allocating that to the employees. Alternatively, you can always hope that they were filed and it is in the mail. Afterall, the deadline to file is the end of February. So technically she could still be on time.
