They do have a salary cap they had their version of a lockout like the NHL a couple years ago and never regained the popularity they had once before when they finally went back to the game

I hate to put this so bluntly, but no. There is not a salary cap in baseball.

As I was informed from an elder person there is a salary cap. I choose to believe him. My mistake if there is not one, but you may believe what you may.

There is no salary cap in baseball. It has been discussed, but not in place. As one MLB Commissioner said, "There will be peace in the Middle East before there is a salary cap in baseball".

There is NO salary cap in baseball.
There is a luxury tax, 2 totally different things.
NBA and the NFL have salary caps.
There will be no hockey this year, as apparently the NHL is going to be rejecting the NHLPA's offer and will be submitting their own offer. Of course their offer will have some sort of cap bull**** in it, so more than likely we will have no NHL season.
Bastards.

i really couldn't care anymore this year about a season. 1/2 over anyway.. what's the point. no hype anymore this year! meh..

we'll see what next year brings. let them get settled and hopefully a 2005-2006 season will be a good one.
