Not a newb, but new to this site.

Been into car audio since the early 1990's... Pre alma gates. Prefer highend audio components and still own a PPI Pro 10 flat cone.

Little more modern in the new car: eclipse 8445 (may replace with something with better TA), audiocontrol dqxs /w DDC, soundstream tr 800/5, DLS gothia 6.2, edesigns eu700, edesigns 13kv.2 (soon to be replaced with two hertz mx-300 in a small ported closure with an additional digital SS amp).

I install all my own stuff and do fiberglass. I even did my own alarm to save on the install charges for all the extra accessories I put in.

Anyways, HI EVERYONE!

May compete once I get this install done. Moving my tweeters off the dash to fiberglass pods in the a-pillars once the DLS come in... right now some ed6000's tweeters are in the dash and the imaging sucks compared to my old car with kicks.

Here are some pictures (because everyone loves pictures)...
Rear midbass (40-250hz). The rears quarter panels have been sealed off with MDF, expanding foam and deadener so they act like large sealed enclousres. They also have some foam in them.

There are no tweeters (those are from when I had some MB comps back there).

Amplifier... SS TR800/5. It is big and beautiful. I will bridge it to 200x2 for the front and 200x1 for the rears (mono to eu700, 100 a piece) once I get done with the new sub enclosure. Right now it does 50x2 front, 100x2 midbass (each eu700 is 2 ohms), and 400x1 (2 ohm to subwoofer). The capacitor was just lying around so I threw it in.

Subwoofer in fiberglass enclosure (1.0ft3)... hmm no pictures with sub in there... oops

Talking

Welcome to CCA....nice job on the install......

Yes we do love pics, it's much easier to just put one up than try to explain how you did something.

I still love a really big chrome or flat black amp....went by my buddy's shop yesterday and he had just finished pulling 3 PPI PC21400s out of a Hummer, all in mint condition......

Unfortunately the owner was not interested in selling them.....

Nice to see the Tarantula is still nice and shiny.....
