I would say the majority of people seem to forget that the roads we drive on are public. And it's a privilege to obtain a drivers license and own a car. IMHO the ministry of transportation is heading in the right direction - especially with cell phones and distracted people. I've seen first hand, what speeding can do to someone and luckily I wasn't on the receiving end(witnessed).

I was going to say that the guy should have had his car crushed with him pushing the button but since we are all about recycling now, why not force him to take his own car apart and have the parts sold as such with all proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity or some other Charity?

so u guys dont agree nor disagree?

it is clearly unconsitutional.

speeding laws are still in effect.

this street racing law is total BS.

i can be going 300km/hr doesnt mean im street racing or stunt driving. sure give me a speeding ticket. but taking away someone's property and making them serve jail time BEFORE any trial is against Canada's constitutional rights.

these street racing laws are scams paid for by the auto insurance companies. we already have speeding laws. what exactly does a "street racing" law do?
