Planning to buy new/used car.. Suggestion Please!
Good Day To All.
My father is planning to buy a new or used car this month.
We've already browse the "auto car deals" site. And we've thinking over 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV (Price: $18,000) and 2007 Toyota Matrix XR Hatchback (Price: $13,500).
What's your preferred? Actually, there so many good cars in auto car deals site (new & used). But my father eying for these two brands..
Family Profile: 6 members (including my mom & dad)
Thanks in advance

Well just checked consumer reports for ya, it seems the 07 Toyota was their worst year ever for fuel economy in the stats but all the reviews said otherwise. The Santa Fe had just slightly better fuel ratings but the reviews said otherwise, and then some. It seems that the Matrix generally had very little to say on the con side while the Hyudai had a few things like a louder ride and a few heater issues. Based on the Toyota brand alone might be the better bet. (other than fuel their stats were nearly identical)
Just my two cents but again, plus if he ever rips out on his own the sportier Matrix might suit him and it does have allot of space in the back.
P.S yaaa 10 posts

the 1.8L in the matrix is a total dog. If you can drive slow and avoid any type of merging I'm certain fuel economy may be good. It's just far too under powered for the weight of the car and slow.
The Santa Fe 2.7L isn't bad but the 4 speed auto makes it a dog as well... get off the internet, go find some to test drive.
