Where can I find Plate Amplifiers that are not just for subwoofers? I have a set of Cerwin Vega 15" towers that are "suppose" to be around 400 watts aside, the home reciever I am using only puts out 70rms... What I want to do is fine a pair of plate amplifiers that can do it all, and around 250 watt mark.... I looked at parts express but can only find Subwoofer aplifiers which would work for subs alone but I would like the rest of the system running the same power...

Thanks

Why a plate amplifier?

Just get a regular home amp.

What's your budget? Adire's AVA250 had a defeatable crossover, but it's 250 bucks at creative sound.

Nice find, that could do the trick 250$ a shot is up there, but with each speaker independant might do the job just nice....

I would like to stay new, or if used has at least 1 year warranty, odds are prices will be about the same if I get 2 plate amps, or 1 home audio amp... least with 2 seperate they have there own power supplies and own amps.... hmmm gonna look into a few things, who all makes home audio amps? I know kenwood does but not impressed with the power output

Companies that make Home Receivers
Denon
Onyko
Harman Kardon
JVC
Kenwood
Pioneer
RCA
Yamaha
Sony

That's what I can think of off the top of my head.
I'm guessing that if you are looking for a plate amplifier, you aren't interested in all of the "bling bling" that many home receivers come with - you are looking for pure power right? If that is the case, you could also look into professional audio, like a PA amplifier. They are basic - just volume control and power. They put out a lot of power for the price and they are 4 ohm stable (not all home receivers are 4 ohm stable).
