Possible new playstation 3 specs
The mad Catz x box controller I have is pretty clunky, but it also was only $20. The 2nf gen x box controller I find is pretty comfy. I find Ps2/ controls too jumbled together and I usually hit 2 buttons instead of one, but I also guess I am un-used to the pscontrolled.
I think both systems will have their pros and cons. But I'm still partial to my x box.

Yeah they make dinky *** controllers that I think are way too small. The type S controller doesn't feel bad at all. In fact I really didn't have a problem with the normal controllers for Xbox. The type S ones seem just right. The problem with the Playstation's Dual Shock controllers is that the joysticks tend to get extremely loose or worn after little use. However I've been using my XBox type S controllers for almost 7 or 8 months now and the joysticks on those are still tight and responsive just as the day I bought them. All the next gen consoles will most likely launch around the same time. But there is no doubt that MS will probably come up with the more powerful system. Bill Gates has that kind of money to blow and doesn't seem to mind. However if the PS3 specs are really as powerful as what is being rumored, I could care less if the XBox takes it a step further. I mean look at the possible specs for the PS3 already! How much more power do you need? So the PS3 has a 3GHZ proccesor? OK then let's say MS decides to bump it up to a 4 or higher, what will that do? Give me 2 seconds less loading time on a screen? That is really splitting hairs once you get up into specs as powerful as are being thrown around. Right now the XBox completely kills the PS2 in all technical categories. But when the next systems roll around, the specs will not be seperated by such a wide margin.

^^^ Actually the buttons on the new type S controllers really aren't that much closer together. Maybe a little bit. And by the pictures it may look like they are much closer. But there was so much extra plastic on the original Xbox controllers that all they had to do was get rid of that extra plastic and make the controller more compact. The buttons really didn't move that far at all. I can pick up an old Xbox controller and then pick up a new one and they all feel just as close as they were before. The only difference is that you don't have all that extra bulky plastic to grasp onto. I guess maybe if you had bigger hands as well using any controllers might be an issue. I find that I will sometimes hit 2 buttons at once on all my systems, not just one. So I guess it all depends on how big your hands are, and how you hold the controller, as well as how aggressive you are while pushing the buttons.
