I was reading online and some get good reviews certain models don't.. Does anyone know anything about them like who there parent company is? I thought I read somewhere that it was Athena who made them? Does anyone else have these? So far I have only tested out the bookshelf model QB5NX I think it is and no major complaints thus far..If anyone else has tested out there towers or center channel let me know what you thought of them...

Thanks

Doug...
Low end stuff not a fan myself, by no means am I an audiophile but I sure know what sounds go to my ears and this stuff blows.

I currently own PSB, Mirage, Warfdale and Nuance. PSB and Nuance in my HT, the PSB for my mains gives me an warm neutral sound that I like and huge bottom end from a Nuance sub.

The Mirage are bookshelf very small but huge sound and the Warfdale are electro-static panels and a small ported 6' sub, they need goobs of power to push them, sound ok at higher volumes probabley my least fav

my 2cents

I know it's def low end stuff, but considering it's 47$ for the bookshelfs I expected it to sound alot worse then it did... I wasn't a fan of the "tower" versions of the quest granted I only heard them in a FS store so big difference from store to home.. But my buddy just ravs over these towers which I didn't feel sounded worth ****... I found the bookshelfs where ok even at higher volumes long as you didn't have the bass up to high then it sounded like poo...

Why buy poo? It's still poo at the end of the day and it stinks! Meh, sure the deal is good but for how long will your ears be able to put up with them. (unless it is to tune out the missus).

Ha for what they would be used for, they are good enough.. since being used as rears... I find it's more important to have a well balanced front end, and the *** end doesn't have to be as perfect since there's not usually full sound always traveling at all times through those back speakers... I am goofy that way.. however my front end isn't all that balanced either lol, 2 6*9's as center channel and 2 tower kenwoods as my fronts lol

I got a free pair of QB5 when I purcahsed my surround receiver. Not bad, but they were laking in any realism and soundstage when used for strictly stereo listening.

They have decent bass output for the small driver, but nothing thats really noteable.

The highs arnt detailed enough for me I found, and the midbass sounded kind of muddy, but for Free they were finr for HT use, or how we use them for outdoor speakers at the cottage.

Yep, I was testing them out with Blue Man Group and I thought they were pretty decent like I said considering the price and the bass they did put out for a 5.25" I am pretty satisfied....

Holy ****!! did you ever get a smokin deal.... to get the driver replaced take it out, and return it to the place you bought it and tell them you need a new driver for Studio 100's and the version number.... they'll replace within 2 weeks.... if not send it to me and I'll do it for you....
